Monitored Alarm Systems for Homes & Businesses in Central Texas

iSecure 247 designs, installs, and monitors alarm systems for homes and businesses across Central Texas. We’ve done this work since 2013, from our shop in Copperas Cove.

This page is about a new monitored system: plan the zones, install the gear, connect professional monitoring, and train you on how it works day to day.

Already have a panel and sensors? See our alarm system takeover page instead — we keep compatible gear when we can.

What a monitored alarm is

A monitored alarm detects an event — a door opening, motion in a room, or another zone you set — and notifies a monitoring process that can follow your call list and contact emergency services as you’ve agreed.

That’s different from cameras, which see and record, and from a local-only siren that only makes noise on site. Monitoring means someone can act on the signal when you’re not there to hear it.

What we install and set up

We plan around how the property is used — not a one-size kit:

  • Door and window contacts, motion detection, and other zones as the property needs
  • Keypad and/or app-style arming and disarming as configured for the job
  • Professional monitoring arranged so signals go somewhere that can follow your instructions
  • Notifications to your phone or contacts as agreed
  • Optional pairing with security cameras and/or access control when the site needs a combined stack
  • Backup options explained on the quote — we walk you through what fits your building and budget

Who it’s for

  • Homes that want intrusion detection with professional monitoring not a DIY kit you babysit alone
  • Retail and restaurants
  • Offices and professional suites
  • Warehouses and industrial support areas
  • Medical and dental practices
  • Rentals and property managers
  • Fort Hood-area households who want local install and monitoring through a PCS or a new place

Also see our residential and commercial hubs, and the full services list.

Alarms vs cameras vs access control

  • Alarms — detect an event and open a monitored response path
  • Cameras — see and record what happened (security cameras)
  • Access control — who can open which door, when (access control)

A lot of sites use more than one. Tell us what’s going on and we’ll help you pick without the scare pitch.

New install vs takeover

  • New monitored system (this page) — design from scratch, install, connect monitoring, train you
  • Takeover — keep a compatible existing panel and sensors, switch monitoring — see alarm system takeover

We assess your existing panel and sensors and reuse compatible equipment where practical. If you already have gear, start on the takeover page. We’ll tell you honestly whether to keep it or go new.

How a project usually runs

  1. Walk the property (or review remotely when that fits)
  2. Recommend zones and device types — and why those choices fit how you use the space
  3. Install and test the system
  4. Connect monitoring and confirm signals
  5. Train you or your staff on arm/disarm and who to call
  6. Ongoing monitoring plus local service when something needs attention

Where we work

We’re based in Copperas Cove and cover the Central Texas corridor along I-35 and US-183 — including Killeen, Copperas Cove, Harker Heights, Temple, Belton, Gatesville, Lampasas, Waco, Georgetown, Round Rock, Leander, Cedar Park, and Liberty Hill. Full map: service areas.

That includes homes and businesses around Fort Hood. For larger projects outside the usual radius, we run a traveling install team — distance is a scheduling question, not an automatic no.

Why local matters

We’ve been in business since 2013. Shop is in Copperas Cove. License TX B18648.

We design around your property and how you actually use it — not a national kit dropped the same way on every site. Same number after the install as before it.

FAQ

What is a monitored alarm system?

Sensors detect an event (door, motion, or another zone). The system notifies a monitoring process that can follow your call list and contact emergency services as agreed. You’re not depending only on a siren you might not hear.

What’s the difference between monitored alarms and security cameras?

Alarms detect and open a response path. Cameras see and record. Many sites use both. Cameras alone don’t call anyone; a monitored alarm alone doesn’t show you video. Details: security cameras.

Do I need an alarm, cameras, or both?

Depends on the site. An empty warehouse may need detection first. A retail floor may want both. We’ll help you choose from how the building is used — not from a fear pitch.

How does professional monitoring work when something trips?

When a zone trips while the system is armed, a signal goes to monitoring. They follow the instructions you’ve set call list, verify when appropriate, and contact emergency services as agreed. We confirm that path works before we leave the job.

What if power or internet goes down?

Backup paths depend on the building and the system we quote. We’ll explain the options that fit your site on the quote — we don’t claim a one-path solution for every property.

Can you monitor an existing system I already own?

Sometimes — when the panel and sensors are compatible. That’s a takeover, not a new install. Start at alarm system takeover. We assess your existing panel and sensors and reuse compatible equipment where practical.

Do you serve my city / the Fort Hood area?

Yes for the Central Texas corridor on our service areas page — including Killeen, Copperas Cove, Harker Heights, Temple, Belton, and the Fort Hood area. Outside that list, call anyway. Larger jobs travel.

How does a typical new install go?

Property walk, zone design, install and test, connect monitoring, train you, then ongoing monitoring and local service. Timeline depends on zone count, cabling, and whether we work after hours.
